Hardware engineering

Our expertise ensures that we deliver robust and innovative hardware solutions to meet the demands of today’s fast-paced technological landscape.

Hardware engineers are the brains behind the design, development, and optimization of physical computer systems and components. Together with system engineers, they work on everything from circuit boards and processors to sensors and memory devices, ensuring that hardware systems are efficient, reliable, and ready to support the latest software innovations. Whether it’s refining existing technology or pioneering new solutions, hardware engineers play a crucial role in advancing technology.

Why does your project need a hardware engineer

A hardware designer is responsible for developing the electronic components of your product. This including the design of the printed circuit board (PCB): schematics and layouts. By initially creating a detailed schematic, the designer can accurately translate it into a functional PCB layout. Collaborating closely with a system and software engineer, the hardware designer ensures that the customers vision is fully realized, delivering a product that meets your expectations. Once assembled with the appropriate components, the PCBA (printed circuit board assembled) becomes the foundation on which the software is implemented, transforming the concept into a fully operational product. The designer also considers the mechanical requirements to ensure that all hardware and mechanical elements integrate seamlessly, especially when these components are produced in-house by the VEDS Group.

Choice of components

Given the fast-paced evolution of technology it has become increasingly common to encounter issues with component availability. Such challenges can significantly delay product delivery, impacting our partners' and customers' ability to meet their commitments. To address this, Systems Engineers collaborate with hardware engineers to proactively identify and evaluate suitable alternative components, ensuring that project timelines remain on track. This involves not only understanding the technical specifications of components but also assessing the broader impact on the system's overall functionality and performance. By maintaining a holistic view of the project, Systems Engineers ensure that the final product meets all specifications without compromise, balancing technical requirements with market realities.
