wolk; the hip airbag
The first hip airbag in the Netherlands. The Wolk from Wolk BV ensures that a lot less elderly people break their hips while falling. By inflating itself when an elderly person falls, the Wolk hip airbag ensures a soft landing. This allows the (less balance-stable) elderly to go out the door again with confidence. VEDS Group designed the hardware and redesigns, made the prototypes, produced the first PCBAs and supported the software design.
