It's already October, so it's time to take a look at markets that are expected to grow in the coming year. This time we look at autonomous applications.

There are now various markets that are looking at autonomous, electrical solutions, the best known of which are robots, drones and cars. More and more autonomous robots are coming onto the market; think of the robot vacuum cleaner, autonomous AGVs and they are also gradually being used in agriculture. Looking at the developments around drones and cars, the use in all market sectors will change as the laws and regulations adapt. Developments around these applications are already in full swing and will continue to evolve.

An important element in autonomous applications is security. This safety will have to be largely guaranteed by a great deal of sensor and control technology, in which speed and secure communication also play a factor. It is therefore expected that developments in sensors -intelligent or not- will continue to grow. Within the VEDS Group we are already working on various studies and the applicability of such sensors in the autonomous markets.
