aquapin, the soil measuring system
The AquaPin is a modular soil measuring system that is capable of measuring various quantities. These include temperature, groundwater level (pressure), electrical conductivity (salinity) and, in the future, soil moisture. Our client Fixeau B.V. deploys the product in both the groundwater management (data acquisition) and agricultural sectors. VEDS Group produces and redesigns several PCBAs that are needed within this system. It concerns both PCBA's that actually perform measurements and PCBA's that communicate with the outside world (back-end) according to various standardized communication methods / protocols. For this, the PCBAs need embedded software, which VEDS Group also provides. In addition, we also provide the mechanical design, which consists of mono and sub assemblies.
